2017 AGA AGM Port Fairy

The 2017 AGA AGM will be held in Port Fairy from Friday 3 March to Monday 6 March 2017.

Planning is well underway, and with only eight months to go, most of the important things have been cemented in.

So, what have we done so far? We’ve selected a main accommodation site at the Port Fairy Big 4 Holiday Park. Contact details are on the Facebook page, so if you haven’t yet booked, make the phone call. Jenni has set aside the whole Park for us (at 2015 prices!), but, if you leave it too late, you might not get what you want. Details of alternative accommodate will be posted later in 2016 – but there’s plenty left at Big 4. Just don’t leave it to the last minute.

We’ve booked out the Victoria Hotel for the AGM dinner and we’ve booked a local singer to keep us entertained. The food should be fantastic, and the AGA has agreed to subsidise each member attending the dinner to the tune of $20.00.

Applications have been lodged with the Moyne Council for the Light Parade and Mass Ride/Show and Shine.

Letters have been sent off to the local paper and radio station. Lucky our new President has a great head for radio!

We’re investigating the possibility of having some live music at the Camp Kitchen on the Friday night. Port Fairy plays host to a world famous (at least in Victoria) annual Folk Festival. It’s on the week after the AGM, so hopefully some of the entertainer’s might pop in a bit early to hone their skills (for a good price!) We’ll let you know.

For those of you who don’t know, Port Fairy is not far from the beginning of the Great Ocean Road. If you haven’t ridden it yet, here’s your chance. We’re going to organise some great rides, and hopefully the weather will be brilliant! (There’s the mocker on that!)

I hope we’ve whet your appetite. Stay tuned!
